Cemal Enginyurt reacts sharply to rally obstruction: 'The government is gripped by great fear'

CHP Istanbul Deputy Cemal Enginyurt made sharp statements regarding the gathering intended to be held at Izmir Republic Square with the participation of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, which faced various obstacles. Criticizing the difficulties placed on citizens entering the area, Enginyurt stated that the government is afraid of social opposition and emphasized that the will of the people cannot be suppressed by bans.

NO WEARINESS, CONTINUED RESISTANCE

In his statement, Enginyurt used the following expressions:

"The government is gripped by great fear. The Palace is afraid. As the Palace fears, it needs to take on new apparatuses. A leader has been born, his name is Özgür Özel. They are trying to ban the squares out of their fear of Özgür Özel. No matter what they do, this nation will not stop, the squares will be filled. The government will lose, the AKP will go, and it will be held accountable to the people.

There is no other way. Even if they close the squares, we are on the streets. Even if they do not let us walk the streets, we will reach the whole world through smoke signals and we will hold them accountable for the oppression inflicted upon us in this country. When this nation comes face to face with those who interfere with the CHP Headquarters, the party of Atatürk, it will hold them accountable. Today, Özgür Özel is in Izmir Square. This means: No weariness, continued resistance."
