Censorship on the Kent Lokantası along Erdoğan's route
The issue of Kent Lokantası (City Restaurants), which frequently comes up at campaign rallies, has now surfaced due to an attempt at censorship. CHP Party Assembly Member Cem Aydın showed in a social media post that the front of the Kent Lokantası in Arnavutköy had been blocked off.
With only hours left until the election, political activity continues without slowing down. Following the recent Istanbul rally, where he expressed his frustration over failing to reach the desired turnout, AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan decided to hold district-based rallies.
While preparations were underway for the Arnavutköy district rally that AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan will hold today, the 15 July Martyrs' Square and its surroundings were closed to traffic as part of security measures ahead of the rally.
During these efforts, a controversial practice also took place. Before Erdoğan's visit to Arnavutköy, the Kent Lokantası located in the area was covered with life-size signs of Murat Kurum so that it would not be visible.

Sharing this censorship on his social media account, CHP Party Assembly member Cem Aydın wrote the following:
Before the President's visit to Arnavutköy tomorrow, the Kent Lokantası, one of the most important examples of populist and social municipalism in recent years, was covered with life-size signs so that it would not be seen.
You will be defeated by those Kent Lokantası that you look down upon.
