Cevdet Yılmaz makes statement on purchasing power

Cevdet Yılmaz shared a post on his social media account regarding purchasing power parity.

Stating that the convergence process with developed countries has been successfully maintained since 2002, Yılmaz said, "Our per capita income in terms of OECD-defined PPP, which was 9 thousand 279 dollars in 2002, reached 42 thousand 529 dollars in 2023.

The convergence rate to the OECD average has risen from 35 percent in 2002 to 72 percent in 2023," he said.

Continuing his post, Yılmaz said, "Our per capita income in terms of Eurostat-defined PPP, which was 7 thousand 605 euros in 2002, increased 4-fold to reach 27 thousand 600 euros in 2023. While the convergence rate to the EU average was 38 percent in 2002, it reached 73 percent in 2023.

Our goal is to continue our development in stability and exceed the 100 percent rate. The transformations we will provide during the four-year election-free period will contribute greatly to achieving this goal," he said.
