EsenyurtIn an incident that took place in Esenyurt, a suspect accused of harassing an elderly woman was beaten by local citizens, with the event captured on a mobile phone camera. Police teams have taken the suspect into custody.

The incident occurred last Friday in a park in the Güzelyurt neighborhood. According to allegations, a man who was physically harassing an elderly woman sitting in the park was spotted by citizens. Following the intervention of the citizens, the suspect attempted to flee but was caught shortly after. Police teams arriving at the scene took the suspect to the police station to take his statement. The moments of the incident were reflected on a citizen's mobile phone camera.

Describing what happened, neighborhood resident Murat Büyükturan said, "A person harassed an elderly woman. Our citizens beat him and chased him away. We also hit him a few times. As a public, we cannot let our children out on the street when there are such perverts around." Another neighborhood resident, Emrah Yazman, stated, "While working at my workplace, we looked at the sounds coming from outside and saw that a person was being beaten by the neighborhood residents. We learned that he had harassed an elderly woman in the park. Afterward, the police arrived and took the suspect away." he said.
