Child who fell into a puddle in Küçükçekmece could not be saved
A five-year-old girl has lost her life after falling into a pool of water that had accumulated in an excavation area at Menekşe Beach Park in Küçükçekmece.
In Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district, a 5-year-old girl has lost her life after falling into a pool of water that formed following excavation work at a beach park.
Teams from the Küçükçekmece District Police Department arrived at the scene following a report that a person had fallen into a pool of water formed by excavation work at Menekşe Beach Park in the Fatih neighborhood and had drowned.
DIED AT THE HOSPITAL
Upon investigation, the teams determined that some parts of the park had filled with water following the excavation work and that a young girl identified as E.G. had fallen into it.
It was learned that E.G., who received initial intervention from medical teams at the scene, could not be saved despite all efforts at the hospital to which she was transported.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
