Children dragged into prostitution in nightclubs... 'Be with this man and you will be paid 5 thousand TL'

Halk TV columnist and journalist İsmail Saymaz has made striking allegations regarding the employment of minor girls in nightclubs in Ankara and the inclusion of suspicious public officials in the investigation. Saymaz stated that the Ministry of Family and Social Services is also among the suspects, and that Ministry officials will face trial on charges of "misconduct in office" or "neglect of duty."

ALLEGATIONS OF BEING FORCED INTO PROSTITUTION

In his column today, İsmail Saymaz recounted the experiences of two minor girls, identified as E. and N., who were allegedly employed at nightclubs in Ankara. E. was born in 2011, and N. in 2010. According to Saymaz, E. applied to the police on September 18, 2025, was directed to the Directorate of Family and Social Services, and was admitted to the institution on September 26, 2025. N. was admitted to the institution on October 16, 2025. The common point between the two children is that they were employed at a nightclub named B.

Saymaz listed the horrifying allegations contained in the report prepared after the statements were taken at the Child Protection and Initial Intervention Assessment Unit on October 17. It was claimed that the children were pushed from waitressing into working as hostesses, striptease, and pole dancing, that the boss said, "Be with this man, you will be paid 5 thousand TL," and that those who refused were fired. Other venues where the children were "employed" include nightclubs named G., I., P., and B. Among the allegations are that some children were forced into prostitution and that drug sales took place at these venues.

CHILDREN'S AGES FALSIFIED, BLACKMAIL USED

Saymaz stated that the report also included allegations that the children's ages were falsified on their identification documents and that private information was accessed and used for blackmail through an application called a "panel." Saymaz emphasized that the children were both emotionally and physically abused through such practices.

The Ministry of Family and Social Services issued a statement regarding these allegations, noting that the children's statements were accepted as a report and a criminal complaint was filed. However, Saymaz challenged the Ministry's emphasis on "protecting children" and reported that E.'s contact with the Ministry dated back further.

MOTHER A HOSTESS, FATHER A CONVICT

According to Saymaz's report, E. was reported by her mother for "running away from home," and a family court decided to implement a counseling measure. It was stated that E.'s mother, T.D., worked as a hostess, and her father, D., is incarcerated and will remain in prison until 2039.

E.'S ALLEGATIONS OF PROSTITUTION AND FRAUD

Based on the statement E. gave at the Child Monitoring Center on October 18, 2025, and the interview report dated October 22, 2025, Saymaz alleged that E. was employed in nightclubs during this process and was pushed into prostitution and sex fraud. Saymaz posed questions to Ministry officials, such as why she was not taken into protection in time during this process and why they were content with only counseling. However, Ministry officials stated that they could not respond, citing a confidentiality order on the file.
