Statement from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance: We reject that claim

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance condemned the allegations made by CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır regarding the house where Minister Mehmet Şimşek resides, stating, "We reject the mentality that tries to unfairly gain prominence in politics with unseemly accusations and insinuations, cheap tricks, and the allegations aimed at belittling our Minister."

The Ministry also characterized the statements made by Başarır at his press conference in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) as baseless and unfounded.

The Ministry issued a statement regarding the allegations made by CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır at his press conference in the TBMM concerning the house where Minister Şimşek resides. The statement said, "CHP MP Ali Mahir Başarır made unfair and baseless accusations with his statement on July 4, 2024, which he based on 'according to a claim' regarding our Minister Mehmet Şimşek.
