CHP Board Member found dead in his vehicle
In the Bozova district of Şanlıurfa, it was reported that Evren Efe Ödemiş, a member of the CHP Provincial Board, lost his life due to carbon monoxide poisoning in his vehicle parked on the shore of the Atatürk Dam Lake. A suicide note was found at the scene.
In the Bozova district of Şanlıurfa, Republican People's Party (CHP) Provincial Board Member Evren Efe Ödemiş was found dead in his vehicle parked on the shore of the Atatürk Dam Lake.
LOST HIS LIFE
Around 10:00 PM last night, citizens who saw an unresponsive person in a vehicle parked in the Çatak area reported the situation to the authorities. Gendarmerie and medical teams arriving at the scene opened the vehicle and determined upon inspection that the individual had lost his life.
POISONED BY CARBON MONOXIDE GAS
Investigations revealed that the person in the vehicle was CHP Provincial Board Member Evren Efe Ödemiş and that he had been poisoned by carbon monoxide gas originating from coal burned inside. Additionally, a suicide note was found in the vehicle. Ödemiş's body was taken to the Şanlıurfa Forensic Medicine Institute following the examination. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
