CHP's Bozbey announces 50 percent of ballot boxes have been opened

Vote counting continues in Turkey for the March 31 Local Administration Elections. Republican People's Party (CHP) Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral Candidate Mustafa Bozbey, who is following the results from the Election Coordination Center and providing hourly updates, made a statement regarding the latest data.

In his statement, Bozbey said, “It is a day that will be written in golden letters in Bursa's history.

I would like to thank all the people of Bursa who cast their votes at the ballot box once again from the bottom of my heart, because we have an approach that does not marginalize anyone. I am calling out to the poll workers; keep it up, just a little longer.

Your duties will continue until the last vote is counted. You are taking on a great responsibility and you are the heroes of this election. We say it with a smile; approximately 50 percent of the ballot boxes have been opened.

We are ahead by a wide margin. However, we are waiting for it to be completed. We think the gap will widen. Do not worry at all, tomorrow will be a beautiful day,” he said.
