New era message from CHP Chairman Özgür Özel: He announces the roadmap

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel made important statements regarding the current agenda.

Addressing the political developments following the absolute nullity ruling by the 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice, Özel gave messages regarding his new era strategy.

According to the report by Birgün, emphasizing that the government uses public power in line with its own interests, Özel stated, "The ruling party, seeing that it can no longer win an election, wants to leave the nation without candidates, without a party, and without options. For this, a civil coup has been attempted, and this coup is being sustained, without hesitation to sacrifice the peace and welfare of our nation."

POLICE INTERVENTION AT CHP HEADQUARTERS

Stating that the CHP has faced many coups in the past, Özel recalled that the party was shut down during the September 12 period. However, arguing that what is happening today is different, Özel said, "But for the first time, a trustee has been appointed by a court to its leadership, for the first time its elected staff have been removed from office by a court, and for the first time, its Headquarters has been ransacked by police force."

Stating that the process is not just an internal matter of the CHP, Özel made the following assessment:

"This issue is now between a government that the nation does not want and 86 million people. This issue is between Erdoğan and Turkey. From now on, there is the 'Elected CHP' on one side, and the 'Appointed CHP' on the other. Erdoğan has appointed a nullity administration to the head of the CHP. On one side, there is the 'Winning CHP', and on the other, the 'Losing CHP'. Erdoğan wants the administration he defeated for 13 years back in front of him. That is why the new alliance we are facing is the Absolute Nullity-Absolute Sultan alliance. The reason for the attacks carried out by the AK Party's Judicial Branches for months is to have our party managed by the AK Party's Nullity Branches."

"THERE IS A SYSTEM THAT HAS BEEN CONTINUING IN TURKEY FOR YEARS"

In his statement, Özel criticized the current system by using the phrase "The AK Party's dark order."

Arguing that a certain political order has been maintained in Turkey for many years, Özel used the following expressions:

"Let's be clear. There is an order that has been constructed in Turkey for years. This order is an order that imposes unchanging actors and politicians. The Establishment does not want its political construct to be disrupted. In this construct, a place is also defined for the CHP. Some defend this order by calling it the 'Deep State' or 'State Mind'. Deep covers are being invented for the interests of a handful of people. Today's Establishment is the AK Party's Dark Order. The interests of the Establishment and the interests of the nation have diverged and become opposed to each other."

"THE ESSENTIAL THING IS THE SPIRIT OF STRUGGLE"

Stating that the CHP stands with the nation, Özel expressed that their struggle continues for a free and democratic Turkey.

Özel said, "Just as we did 100 years ago, we are the staff that stands on the side of the nation, not the Establishment, today. This march is the march of the nation. What keeps this march alive is our principles, our ideals, and our faith. The steps taken in this march are not for roofs, buildings, seats, or offices, but for a free, independent, fair, and democratic Turkey. The essential thing is the spirit of struggle."

"CHP WILL BE PURIFIED" MESSAGE

Giving a message to those he thinks are collaborating within the party, Özel said that the CHP will be "purified of those who are props to the dark order."

Özel used the following expressions in his statement:

"There is no place in this march for those who are collaborators with the Establishment, those who are the voice of the dark order, and those who seek elsewhere the duty that our nation, our party, and our delegates did not give them. If the Republican People's Party is to be purified, it will be purified of those who are props to this dark order. It will be purified of those who want a 'Losing CHP' instead of a 'Winning CHP'. Because from now on, no one will be able to get us used to defeat. Either the rusty chains of the Establishment will wrap around this nation, or our nation will break the chains and continue on its way. That is the issue."

"MAY 24 IS A TURNING POINT"

Arguing that May 24, the date he stated the CHP Headquarters was entered by police force, is a milestone, Özel said that a new process has begun after this date.

Özel said, "There is a before and after that date. After that date, those who stand with the elected will, democracy, and justice are on our side without any 'ifs' or 'buts'. The march from the Headquarters to the parliament and the nation is a march that has begun to leave the old, decrepit, and corrupt dark order with its palace and puppets behind and to establish a new order with the nation."

"THE STRUGGLE HAS TURNED INTO A FRONT-LINE STRUGGLE"

At the end of his statement, Özel stated that the target is not only the CHP and argued that the entire democratic system is under threat.

Özel said, "The target is not just the CHP. Our entire democratic system is in danger. That is why the struggle should not be a position struggle but a front-line struggle. The fact that all social opposition stands together in this process has increased our faith. Because the first election to be held will be between autocrats and democrats. I call on everyone who believes in democracy and justice, unions, professional organizations, civil society, institutions, and all political parties not to stand by the CHP, but to stand by the nation and to protect their own existence."
