CHP Chairman Özgür Özel issues 'a certain amount' warning to Erdoğan

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who emerged from the local elections with a major victory, continues to bring current issues to the agenda through statements on his social media account. This time, Özel made a post drawing attention to the situation of teachers waiting for appointments.

Criticizing the phrase 'a certain amount' used by AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan regarding teacher appointments, Özgür Özel made the following statement on his X account:

"I remind Tayyip Erdoğan, who announced that he would appoint 'a certain amount' of teachers, that the expectation of all teachers is the appointment of 68 thousand teachers without interviews. 

I will continue to fight alongside the teachers who are waiting for the appointment that is their right."

'A CERTAIN AMOUNT' OF TEACHERS STATEMENT FROM ERDOĞAN

Speaking to members of the press and answering their questions after the Cabinet Meeting held yesterday evening, AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan gave the following response to a question about teachers waiting for appointments:

"Teacher appointments will not take too long; we will make a certain amount of appointments soon, but it would not be right to give a number now. Our Minister of National Education is working on the issue"
