CHP claims 'Libyan plane that crashed in Ankara was headed to Israel': We have obtained flight records

CHP MP Deniz Yavuzyılmaz has shared the flight records of the jet with the registration 4X-CNA, which he previously alleged was on the same apron as the plane carrying Libyan Chief of General Staff Mohamed Ali Ahmed al-Haddad.

In his statement, which he based on FlightRadar records, Deniz Yavuzyılmaz alleged that the jet in question went to Israel after departing from Esenboğa Airport on the day of the crash. Yavuzyılmaz stated, "We have obtained the flight records of the suspicious jet in the Libyan plane crash incident. I am sharing the flight record showing where the suspicious jet went on the day of the incident."

"IT WENT TO ISRAEL"

According to the statement by CHP's Yavuzyılmaz, when the jet carrying the Libyan delegation landed at Esenboğa Airport on December 22, it was directed to Apron No. 5, a more remote part of the airport, instead of Apron No. 1, where aircraft belonging to foreign state officials are usually parked.

Yavuzyılmaz alleged that on December 23, while the crew of the Libyan plane was at their hotel, an Israel-linked jet with the registration 4X-CNA entered the same apron. Stating that the two planes remained on the same apron for 1 hour and 41 minutes, Yavuzyılmaz expressed that the suspicious jet departed from Esenboğa first, and then the Libyan plane crashed within the borders of Ankara shortly after takeoff.

In his new post, CHP's Yavuzyılmaz stated that this jet went to Israel after departing from Esenboğa on the day of the incident, saying, "Source: Flight records of the jet with registration 4X-CNA dated 23.12.2025."

In his previous statement, Yavuzyılmaz had alleged that the Libyan plane was taken to Apron No. 5 instead of its usual parking area at Esenboğa, and that the Israeli jet with the registration 4X-CNA also landed at Esenboğa on the same day for "refueling" and was directed to the same apron.

CHP's Yavuzyılmaz had argued that these two planes remained in the same area for 1 hour and 41 minutes, after which the Israeli jet took off and the Libyan plane crashed shortly after its own departure. Yavuzyılmaz also claimed that the security cameras that should have been monitoring Apron No. 5 were not working on the day of the incident and called on the government to disclose the camera footage.

8 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES

On December 23, 2025, a Falcon 50 type private jet, which took off from Ankara Esenboğa Airport to head to Tripoli, crashed near the Haymana district of Ankara shortly after takeoff.

In the crash, in addition to Libyan Chief of General Staff Mohamed Ali Ahmed al-Haddad, Libyan Ground Forces Commander Lieutenant General Al-Fitouri Ghraibil, Military Industrialization Corporation Chairman Brigadier General Mahmoud al-Katavi, General Staff advisor Mohamed al-Assavi Diyab, General Staff Media Office photographer Mohamed Omar Ahmed Mahcub, and 3 crew members lost their lives.

Following the plane crash, Turkish authorities launched an investigation and announced that the plane's black boxes had been found. Initial official statements suggested that the crash might have occurred due to a technical malfunction. It was reported that the plane had signaled an electrical failure and requested an emergency landing, after which radar contact was lost.

CALL TO "INVESTIGATE POSSIBILITY OF SABOTAGE"

With the new flight record he shared, Deniz Yavuzyılmaz argued that the incident should be investigated for the possibility of sabotage. CHP's Yavuzyılmaz demanded clarification regarding the keeping of the two countries' planes on the same apron, the arrival and departure routes of the Israeli-registered jet, and the allegations concerning the camera footage.
