CHP's Tanal: Petition is being held at the Governor's Office
CHP Şanlıurfa Deputy Mahmut Tanal announced that the petition submitted by the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency regarding an address change is being held by the Istanbul Governor's Office.
In a post on his social media account, Tanal stated that the petition had not been rejected but that the process was not being advanced, adding the following:
“Our petition regarding the relocation of our Provincial Presidency has not been rejected by the Istanbul Governor's Office, but it is being held. The Governor's Office has no such authority. Failing to fulfill the requirements of our petition and delaying the process even constitutes the crime of misconduct in office.”
CHP's Tanal emphasized that this stance by the Governor's Office is unlawful.
