CHP's government program revealed! 'Emergency action plan' in 3 areas

The CHP is set to complete preparations for its Party Program ahead of the 39th Ordinary Congress to be held on November 28-29-30.

According to a report by Mustafa Bildircin from Birgün, it is stated that the program, which emphasizes that it will "produce solutions to Turkey's fundamental problems," also forms a basic framework for the Government Program to be prepared.

It is noted that justice, education, and health will be prioritized in the Government Program, which is planned to serve as a guide during the Presidential Election process. While it is noted that all data and policy documents created within the scope of the Party Program preparations will be naturally integrated into the government program, CHP sources describe the work as "a lean, concise study with a clarity that leaves no question marks in people's minds."

CRITICAL AREAS

The CHP's Government Program, which is expected to be announced to the public along with the Party Program before the congress, will include solution proposals for problems in fundamental areas. In its government program, the CHP will highlight education, health, and justice as "areas that need to be urgently revived."

PRIORITY TOPICS IN EDUCATION

According to assessments from CHP sources, the primary issues to be addressed in the field of education will be curriculum, employment, and budget. In this context, it is stated that the practice of paid teaching, which creates discrimination in teacher employment and makes precariousness permanent, will be abolished. It is stated that the problems of teachers waiting for appointments will be addressed as a priority, the curriculum will be restructured based on scientific foundations, and school budgets will be strengthened.

ACTIONS IN HEALTHCARE

The field of health will also have a significant place in the CHP's government program. Contracts regarding city hospitals implemented under public-private partnership (PPP) will be re-examined. The financial effects of the PPP model on the health system will be analyzed. In addition, regulations will be made regarding the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS) and the appointment system; technical-administrative steps to increase access and planning based on capacity analysis will be put into effect.

The primary care and family medicine system will be strengthened as the fundamental building blocks of health services. It is planned to increase primary care health expenditures to reduce congestion in hospitals.

PROPOSED CHANGES IN JUSTICE

It is stated that "what needs to be done urgently" will be addressed first in the justice section of the Government Program. A change focused on merit, oversight, and independence will be made in the structure of the HSK. The institutional structure of the HSK will be reorganized.

Detention practices and freedom of expression will also be among the important topics in the program. Circulars and oversight mechanisms will be established to ensure that the provisions regarding the application of detention as an exceptional measure are meticulously implemented. Proposals for strengthening freedom of expression will also take their place in the government program.
