CHP official asks Minister Yerlikaya about the 'police statement' scandal in Şemdinli
Murat Bakan, CHP Deputy Chairman responsible for the Ministry of Interior and Member of Parliament for İzmir, brought an incident that took place in Şemdinli to his social media account and issued a call to Ali Yerlikaya.
Bakan, who conveys the questions he receives from citizens to the relevant authorities through posts on his social media account, this time brought a scandal that occurred in Şemdinli to his page and asked Interior Minister Yerlikaya about the veracity of the allegations.
While detailing the scandal line by line in his post, the CHP official concluded his remarks by saying, "I request that you look into this matter and investigate the situation of these police officers. As always, I will continue to stand by the security forces."
Here is that post by CHP's Murat Bakan:

Dear Ali Yerlikaya,
According to the allegations, the following incident is taking place in the Şemdinli district of Hakkari.
The brother of the (AKP) Deputy Mayor of Şemdinli Municipality is involved in a traffic accident.
When the police arrive at the scene to process the incident, they notice that an attempt is being made to swap the driver, and when they object and try to carry out the necessary procedures, the individuals begin to pressure the police and argue with them.
As the incident escalates, the police take the individuals who resisted them to prevent them from performing their duties to the police station.
The District Police Chief, hearing about the incident, also arrives at the police station and states that the necessary procedures will be carried out against the individuals, affirming that the officers were right in their actions.
When the individuals fail to achieve a result in their favor at the police station, they go to the courthouse.
At the prosecutor's office, they state that they are filing a complaint against the police and claim that the police insulted the prosecutor and their office.
After the incident is referred to the prosecutor's office, the district chief and other police officers are summoned by the prosecutor to give statements.
After giving their statements, the police officers want to read them before signing. When they examine the statements, they discover discrepancies between what the clerk wrote and their own testimonies.
Meanwhile, based on the allegation that the prosecutor was also insulted, the prosecutor issues a detention order for 3 police officials, including the District Police Chief.
It is your duty to investigate this incident thoroughly and to protect these officers if they are in the right; I am not here to remind you of this, but there is a serious sense of loneliness and helplessness among police officers. The reason for this is their belief that they will not be protected by either their institution or judicial authorities when faced with politicians or those with political connections.
I request that you look into this matter and investigate the situation of these police officers. As always, I will continue to stand by the security forces.
