CHP reacts one after another to the 5th wave operation against IMM

Reactions continue to the new operation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as part of four separate investigations into CHP-run municipalities. CHP figures reacted to the operation by posting on their social media accounts.

"THIS OPERATION WILL ALSO RETURN FROM THE CONSCIENCE OF OUR NATION"

CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut stated the following in his post on his social media account:

 ''Those who have not been able to find any criminal element that would satisfy the public in our municipalities since March 19 are attempting a new operation to invent new crimes and make new slanders. We believe that this operation, which is carried out in the manner of 'throw mud so it leaves a mark' against our mayors who have won the favor of our people, will also return from the conscience of our nation.''

"THIS WALL OF CONSPIRACY BUILT AGAINST THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE WILL BE DEMOLISHED"

CHP Deputy Chairman Gül Çiftci made the following post on her social media account regarding the operation:

"In the latest link of the political attacks that the government has been carrying out against our party; many of our local administrators, including our district mayors, were detained in a dawn operation. The palace regime is trying to liquidate what it could not defeat at the ballot box by using the judiciary with slanders, secret witnesses, and fabricated files, to seize municipalities, and to criminalize elected staff and remove those who came to power through elections with tyranny. We stand by all our mayors and administrators. This wall of conspiracy built against the will of the people will be demolished. The honorable citizens of this country will not bow down to this dirty order!"

"THEY WILL NOT BOW DOWN TO YOU"

CHP Deputy Chairman Ensar Aytekin reacted to the operation in his post with the following expressions:

"Under the name of 'fifth wave', many people, including our mayors, are being detained again in a morning operation in multiple provinces. The people of Istanbul are being told, 'If you do not elect us, we will be a trouble to every person you elect.' Neither this nation nor those elected by this nation will bow down to you!"

"WILL WE REMAIN SILENT? NO, WE ARE NOT REMAINING SILENT"

CHP Deputy Chairman Zeliha Aksaz Şahbaz stated the following in the statement she made on her social media account: 

"Another political operation, again our Party Assembly member, our Mayors in Istanbul and Adana, municipal administrators and employees are in custody. The Istanbul Public Prosecutor is conducting operations all over the country. Political operations continue to unlawfully take over what they lost at the ballot box. The government, which does not recognize the Constitution, is lawless, and has lost its legitimacy, is attacking the people's politicians and mayors. People are being persecuted. Will we remain silent? No, we are not remaining silent. We will continue to shout about injustice and lawlessness, to defend the rights of our people, and to stand by the oppressed."

"EITHER YOU ROT HERE OR YOU FABRICATE SLANDER"

CHP High Disciplinary Board Member İsmail Emre Telci expressed the following regarding the new operation: 

"The 'confessions' forced upon those who were detained and arrested in the form of 'either you rot here or you fabricate a slander from somewhere' have no value. 

In the operations carried out against the CHP and CHP-run municipalities, the suspect is not reached from the evidence as required by law; on the contrary, suspects are being created and attempts are being made to fabricate evidence!

These actions have no place in criminal and criminal procedure law! They have no place in politics! Politics is not shaped in the corridors of the judiciary, but in the presence of the nation!

The cowards who are afraid to step into the arena will eventually get their comeuppance in those arenas!"
