CHP remains the leading party in 2 provinces despite vote loss
According to a public opinion poll commissioned by the CHP, there has been a decline in vote shares in Antalya and Uşak following operations targeting CHP-run municipalities. It is stated that the party leadership has accelerated field work in both provinces to prevent further decline and regain lost support.
Surveys commissioned by the CHP have revealed that there has been a loss of votes in some provinces following operations targeting municipalities. While a decline was detected particularly in Antalya and Uşak, it was stated that the party has maintained its first-place position in both cities.
VOTE SHARE DECLINED IN ANTALYA
According to a report by the pro-government newspaper Türkiye, CHP officials assessed that the vote share in Antalya, which was at the 48 percent level in the 2024 local elections, has fallen to the 40 percent band.
Party sources stated that there has been a decline in voter support in the city following the operation process, but that the CHP is still the leading party.
SUPPORT IN UŞAK FELL TO THE 35 PERCENT LEVEL
It was noted that a similar decline was observed in Uşak. It was stated that the support for the CHP has fallen to the 33-35 percent range.
Officials expressed that despite the loss of votes, the party continues to be the leading party in both provinces.
FIELD WORK FOR LOST VOTES
It was learned that the party leadership has initiated field work in Antalya and Uşak to reverse the decline. It was stated that programs aimed at establishing one-on-one contact with voters have been increased.
PREPARATIONS ARE ALSO UNDERWAY FOR BOLU AND BURSA
CHP sources reported that there has been no significant change in vote shares at this stage in Bolu and Bursa, where the mayors are currently in custody.
However, it was stated that work is being carried out in these provinces as well to prevent a possible decline in the coming period.
