CHP's Deniz Yavuzyılmaz calls on Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya to take action: Addressing him through AKP-era documents

Yavuzyılmaz continues his posts asking, "Why is Ekrem İmamoğlu under arrest?" Sharing new documents regarding the AKP-led İBB era, Yavuzyılmaz stated, "I invite Ali Yerlikaya, who was the Governor of Istanbul at that time and is the current Minister of Interior, to stop being silent and to take action."

Posting on his X account, Yavuzyılmaz said, "Why is Ekrem İmamoğlu under arrest-9? Because he mobilized the Inspection Board regarding 59 vehicles that the AK Party-led Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality illegally allocated to the AK Party Istanbul Provincial Presidency between 2017 and 2019. Because he cut off the pipelines the AK Party had connected to the İBB's treasury."

Yavuzyılmaz continued his statement as follows:

"So, how is this robbery being covered up?

Immediately after being elected Mayor, Ekrem İmamoğlu gave instructions to the Inspection Board on 30.09.2019 to investigate the issue of vehicle allocations.

Inspectors prepared the Inspection Board Report, identifying the crimes and the public loss. 

The report was sent to the Istanbul Governorship on 17.06.2020. It was requested that the necessary actions be taken. 

However, the Istanbul Governorship did not provide a response.

Following this, the Inspection Board Presidency sent another letter to the Istanbul Governorship on 14.09.2020, asking about the status of the report.

The Governorship has remained silent on the report ever since!

"I INVITE ALI YERLIKAYA TO TAKE ACTION"

I invite Ali Yerlikaya, who was the Governor of Istanbul at that time and is the current Minister of Interior, to stop being silent and to take action.

To remain silent is to be complicit in the crime!

Arresting Ekrem İmamoğlu, who pursued the public loss, while ignoring those involved in the vehicle allocation corruption is an abuse of office!"

Why is Ekrem İmamoğlu under arrest-9?

Because between 2017 and 2019, the AK Party-led Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality;

Mobilized the Inspection Board regarding 59 vehicles that it illegally allocated to the AK Party Istanbul Provincial Presidency.
