CHP statement on delegation following cable car disaster
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel shared a post on his social media account regarding the cable car disaster that occurred in Antalya.
One citizen lost their life in the cable car disaster that occurred in Konyaaltı, Antalya.
While efforts to rescue the citizens stranded in the cable cars continue, a statement on the matter came from Özgür Özel.
Özel announced that a delegation has been assigned to be sent to the region:
"I wish condolences to our citizen who lost their life in the cable car disaster in Konyaaltı, Antalya, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
Our delegation, consisting of our Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır, our Deputy Chairmen Gamze Taşcıer and Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, along with 10 of our deputies, is heading to the region.
We are in contact with our Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek and the authorities; we will investigate the accident in detail.
We will inform the public in detail after the rescue operations are completed."
