Claims had circulated that AKP Deputy Group Chairman Özlem Zengin was dismissed
Following the March 31 local elections, AKP Deputy Group Chairman Özlem Zengin was the target of criticism for not remaining loyal to the AKP's fundamental principles. It had been claimed that Zengin was dismissed from her post.
AKP Sivas Deputy and Chairman of the AKP Group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Abdullah Güler responded to the claims that AKP Deputy Group Chairman Özlem Zengin had been dismissed from her post.
Güler stated, "I would like to inform the public that Zengin is at her post and continuing her work in parliament."
STATEMENT FROM GÜLER REGARDING ÖZLEM ZENGİN
AKP Sivas Deputy and Chairman of the AK Party Group in the TBMM Abdullah Güler made a statement regarding the claims in question, expressing that Zengin is continuing her work.
In a statement made on his social media account, Güler expressed the following:
"I would like to inform the public that our AK Party Deputy Group Chairman Ms. Özlem Zengin is at her post and continuing her work in parliament.
We are close witnesses to the faith our chairman Özlem Zengin has in our cause and her sincere efforts, with whom I have had the great pleasure and honor of working together in the Istanbul organizations for many years. We will continue to work together and serve our nation in the coming period as well."
