Clear response from DMM regarding claims about TFF's national anthem policy

After the claim circulating on social media that "the TFF has ended the practice of playing the national anthem at matches" sparked public debate, the Center for Combating Disinformation shared an informational message. In the statement made by the DMM, it was noted that these claims do not reflect the truth and that there is an attempt to manipulate public opinion.

The statement emphasized that the regulatory decision taken by the Turkish Football Federation does not affect the playing of the national anthem. The DMM stated, "The practice of playing our national anthem before matches continues exactly as it is, as included in the TFF instructions, without any changes. The regulation in question is solely aimed at ending the practice of entering the field with banners during the pre-match ceremony and warm-up. This decision was implemented to ensure compliance with UEFA and FIFA's global stadium and match operation practices. The regulation also took into account requests from clubs and players. It is kindly requested that no credence be given to manipulations aimed at creating public outrage by exploiting social sensitivities."
