Koray Özkılıç, a spice merchant in Eskişehir, stated that cocoa prices will increase even further in the coming period, noting, “With yields falling by more than 50 percent, problems have arisen in the product supply process.

Due to high consumption, the price of cocoa, which is in constant demand, has increased as a result.

Cocoa prices, which have shown a very rapid rise in the world market, have also increased by more than 200 percent in retail sales since the beginning of the year.

If the supply process does not improve, prices will continue to rise in the coming period. Citizens are currently buying cocoa, which costs 600 liras per kilogram, in small quantities. We can say that the era of buying in bulk is over,” he said.
