Collapse at chrome mine in Elazığ: All workers rescued
A collapse occurred at a mine in the Alacakaya district of Elazığ. The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources announced that all 4 workers trapped under the rubble have been rescued.
In the Palu district of Elazığ, a collapse occurred at a mine.
According to initial reports, 4 people were trapped under the soil, and AFAD, UMKE, 112 Emergency Health services, and security forces were dispatched to the region.
CONTRADICTORY STATEMENTS FROM AFAD AND THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) stated in an announcement that search and rescue efforts were ongoing for 1 worker trapped under the rubble, noting that 2 miners had been rescued.
The statement from AFAD is as follows;
"A collapse has occurred at a mine in the Alacakaya region, and according to initial reports, 3 miners were trapped under the rubble.
As a result of search and rescue efforts, 2 miners have been rescued; search and rescue efforts for 1 of our citizens are continuing without interruption."

The Elazığ Governor's Office, in a statement made at 11:46, reported that 3 of the 4 workers trapped under the rubble had been rescued and that efforts were continuing to rescue the 1 remaining worker.
The statement noted that a judicial and administrative investigation into the incident has been initiated.
STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY OF ENERGY: ALL WORKERS RESCUED
In a statement made from the Ministry of Energy's X (Twitter) account, it was reported that all workers had been rescued.
The statement from the Ministry is as follows;
A collapse occurred today around 10:00 at a mine located near Kayaönü village in the Palu district of Elazığ province.
4 of our miners were affected by the collapse that occurred in the underground mine belonging to Polay Mining, and one of them managed to get out of the collapse on his own.
Search and rescue teams that arrived at the scene also rescued our other 3 workers.
One of our workers was injured in the incident, while the health status of the other workers is good.
An investigation into the matter has been initiated.
We wish a speedy recovery to all our worker brothers affected by the collapse.
