Stand-up comedian Tuba Ulu has been detained on charges of insulting national and spiritual values following a joke made during her performance.
Comedian Tuba Ulu was referred to judicial authorities following a humorous remark she made about the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent during her latest show. Ulu's use of the phrase, "Even Suleiman the Magnificent married his fuck buddy," sparked widespread reaction on social media.
