Condolence message from Anagold Mining

The following statement was included in the condolence message published by Anagold Mining:

“It is with great sadness that we announce that the body of our colleague Uğur Yıldız, who remained under the soil following the tragic accident that occurred at our Çöpler mining facility on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at approximately 14:28, has been recovered.

We wish God’s mercy upon our late colleague and extend our condolences and patience to his grieving family, our employees, and all his loved ones.

Our search efforts for our other missing colleagues continue uninterrupted under the supervision and support of the relevant public institutions and organizations.

The families of our employees who remain under the rubble have been continuously informed since the first moments of the incident and are closely following our operations.

During these difficult times, we will continue to stand in unity and solidarity with our employees' families and exert all our efforts to minimize the effects of this tragic accident.”
