An armed attack that occurred in Antalya around noon caused panic. The suspect, who opened fire on the Otokoç gallery in the Kepez district, fled the scene, and police teams have launched a large-scale operation to capture the attacker.

THE ATTACK TOOK PLACE ON SERİK STREET

The incident occurred around 15:30 on Serik Street in the Altınova neighborhood of the Kepez district. According to allegations, an individual wearing a hat and covering their face opened fire with a gun toward the car gallery from under the overpass.

After the sound of gunfire was heard, employees inside the business went outside to check the situation. The attacker quickly fled the area following the incident.

As a result of the gunfire, bullets struck various parts of the business. While there were no casualties or injuries in the incident, the business sustained material damage.

Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The teams arrived at the scene in a short time and took security measures in the vicinity.

3 BULLET CASINGS FOUND AT THE SCENE

Police teams and the Crime Scene Investigation Branch conducted a detailed examination of the business. During the investigation, 3 bullet casings were found at the scene.

Police teams have launched an operation to identify and apprehend the fleeing attacker based on the descriptions provided by eyewitnesses.

It was also learned that security cameras in the area are being reviewed.

Meanwhile, the Otokoç General Directorate located in the Maltepe district of Istanbul was also subjected to an armed attack earlier the same day.
