Construction vehicle snaps tram line wires in Fatih
Tram services were disrupted in the Fatih district of Istanbul after a dump truck snapped the power lines supplying the tram line.
In Istanbul's Fatih district, the dump bed of a construction truck snapped the electrical cables supplying power to the tram line during the ongoing pedestrianization works on Ordu Street between the Beyazıt and Laleli tram stops.
Due to the power outage, trams on the line were unable to continue their services for a period of time.

STATEMENT FROM METRO ISTANBUL
In a statement regarding the incident on Metro Istanbul's social media account, it was stated, "Due to a dump truck belonging to a construction company snapping the catenary (power) wire on our T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar tram line, our services are being operated between the Kabataş-Sultanahmet and Yusufpaşa-Bağcılar stations."
