It has been learned that Chairman Özgür Özel, who held a closed-door meeting with deputies at the CHP Headquarters, rebuked those calling for a convention.

According to a report by Cumhuriyet, the party management argued that there is no demand for a convention from the grassroots, stating, "Discussing party matters in public harms the party. Intra-party outbursts are made with personal expectations. Whoever has the power can collect the signatures."
