Convict on the run for 8 years found in Esenyurt
Fatma E., who was wanted with a finalized prison sentence of 11 years and 5 months, was taken into custody and sent to prison following an operation conducted by police at an address identified in Esenyurt, Istanbul.
The Wanted Persons Bureau of the Public Security Branch tracked Fatma E., who had been on the run for 8 years. As a result of technical and physical surveillance, it was determined that Fatma E. was hiding in a house in Esenyurt.
Following preparations, police teams carried out an operation at the address the night before last. Fatma E., who was caught during the operation, was taken to the police station to begin processing.
It was determined that Fatma E. had a total finalized prison sentence of 11 years and 5 months for theft crimes committed on different dates, and it was also revealed that she was wanted in the UYAP system in connection with three separate criminal files.
After her processing at the police station, Fatma E. was referred to judicial authorities and delivered to prison.
