Courts issue consecutive rulings to remove trustees from 11 companies

Consecutive rulings from courts regarding the investigation into the white meat sector have drawn attention. Significant changes have occurred in the precautionary measures regarding companies for which supervisory trustees were appointed as part of the investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office over allegations of causing "unfair price increases."

Some of the companies for which trustees were appointed in the first phase of the investigation appealed against the measures taken, and courts have continued to issue rulings in favor of the companies.

TRUSTEES HAD BEEN APPOINTED TO 13 COMPANIES

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation into leading firms in the sector over allegations that they caused unfair price increases in the white meat market.

Within the scope of the investigation, while proceedings were initiated against the senior executives of the companies, it was decided to appoint supervisory trustees to a total of 13 companies.

The precautionary measure taken had caused widespread repercussions in the public eye and led to attention in the sector turning toward the judicial process.

MEASURES FIRST LIFTED FOR FOUR COMPANIES

The appeals of Gedik Piliç, Erpiliç, Lezita, and Keskinoğlu, which objected to the trustee decision, had been concluded previously.

The courts accepted the appeals made by the companies in question and decided to lift the supervisory trustee measures.

Thus, the first step back regarding the trustee practice was taken for these four companies.

SEVEN MORE COMPANIES SECURE COURT RULINGS

Agricultural writer Ali Ekber Ertürk announced the latest development in the investigation.

According to the information conveyed by Ertürk, the supervisory trustee measures applied to seven more companies have also been lifted by court order.

The companies for which the trustee measure was lifted by court order are listed as follows:

Şen Piliç

Ay-Pi Tavukçuluk
