Critical point in Gülistan Doku investigation filmed: Allegedly buried here after being murdered

As part of the investigation into the disappearance of Gülistan Doku, a second-year student in the Child Development Department at Munzur University who has been missing in Tunceli since January 5, 2020, 12 of the 15 suspects taken into custody were arrested, while judicial control measures were imposed on the remaining 3. A red notice was also issued by Interpol for the fugitive suspect Umut Altaş, who is in the USA.

While work continues by the Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident, it was alleged that Gülistan Doku was buried near the Hasan Halife Tomb in the village of Koçpınar, located in the Pertek district, after being murdered.

Last year, gendarmerie teams conducted a search using 'Underground Imaging' equipment and detected a suspicious void. It was reported that the dimensions of the void were approximately 1.60-1.70 meters long, 70-80 cm wide, and 80 cm deep, resembling a grave, but no bones or human remains were found.

The location and village mentioned in the report were filmed from both the air and the ground. Village headman Eyüp Altaca stated that the authorities had conducted work and that the situation was also documented in the gendarmerie report.

Koçpınar Village Headman Eyüp Altaca, who stated that he has been serving as headman for about 2 years, said, "I have no information about this matter. We heard it through the media as well. We were shocked when we heard it. We do not know by whom or how they brought her here. We want this incident to be clarified as soon as possible. The authorities have done some work here, and this situation is also in the gendarmerie report. We were not given any information that she was buried here. Our central village is Koçpınar, but I live in the hamlet. There is approximately 5 kilometers between the village and where we live. I am not there on a daily basis. There are 3-4 households in the village, but they live quite far from the place where it is alleged she was buried. There is the Hasan Halife Tomb, and the citizens' graves are also there. Citizens come every year for visitation purposes."
