Critical statement from Turkey as alarm continues in Hormuz: 11 Turkish ships have left the gulf

As developments in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most critical transit points for global energy trade, are being closely monitored due to the escalating tension on the Israel-Iran axis, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu has shared the latest information regarding Turkish ships and citizens in the region.

Making a statement via his social media account, Uraloğlu stated that they are acting in coordination with relevant institutions and that the safety of Turkish citizens in the region is among their priority agenda items.

11 TURKISH SHIPS PASSED THROUGH THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ SAFELY

Minister Uraloğlu stated that efforts have been underway since the beginning of the conflict to ensure the safe departure of Turkish-owned ships from the region.

In his statement, Uraloğlu provided the following information:

"We are monitoring developments in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf moment by moment, and we are in constant contact with the ships and our citizens in the region.

Most recently, with the departure of 2 of our ships on the morning of June 21, a total of 11 Turkish-owned ships have passed through the Strait of Hormuz safely and left the gulf since the start of the conflict."

177 TURKISH CITIZENS ARE WORKING IN THE PERSIAN GULF

Providing information on the status of Turkish citizens still working in the region, Uraloğlu announced that 177 Turkish citizens are serving on a total of 7 ships located in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.

Minister Uraloğlu noted that one of the ships in question flies the Turkish flag.

"WE ARE IN CONSTANT CONTACT WITH OUR SHIPS AND CITIZENS"

Emphasizing that developments in the region are being followed without interruption, Uraloğlu stated that relevant units are providing an instant flow of information regarding the situation on the ground.

He included the following statements in his remarks:
