Crowd in front of IMM building captured from the air: Istanbulites show their reaction
Following the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu as part of two separate investigations, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who arrived in Istanbul, made a statement in front of the IMM building. The crowd in front of the IMM building was captured from the air.
As part of two separate investigations conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 87 suspects, including IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, were detained.
The detained suspects were taken to the Istanbul Police Department's Vatan Campus in the morning hours.
Following the detention of İmamoğlu, party members gathered in front of the IMM building in Fatih, Saraçhane.
IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's wife, Dilek İmamoğlu, and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who arrived in Istanbul, addressed the crowd gathered in front of the IMM building.
While police teams were seen taking extensive security measures in the area, the gathered crowd was captured from the air by a drone.
