Dam occupancy rates in Istanbul exceed 50 percent
According to İSKİ data from Wednesday, December 20, the total occupancy rate of the 10 dams supplying water to Istanbul has risen above 50 percent for the first time in months, following recent effective rainfall.
Occupancy rates in Istanbul's dams have increased with the recent rainfall. Due to insufficient precipitation during last year's winter season, dam occupancy rates were being followed with great interest. While the water level at the Pabuçdere Dam, which has the lowest water level, was measured at 26.24 percent, the highest water level was recorded at the Istrancalar Dam at 98.03 percent. According to data from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the total occupancy rate in Istanbul's dams was measured at 50.28 percent on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

Darlık Dam: 60.9%
Elmalı Dam: 88.62%
Terkos Dam: 38.81%

Istrancalar Dam: 98.03%
Kazandere Dam: 44.2%
Pabuçdere Dam: 26.24%
