Deadline for terrorist organization SDF is expiring: Military operation on the table

The issue of the participation of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which is the umbrella organization for the terrorist organization PKK in Syria, into the Syrian army continues to spark debate. It has been suggested that Turkey is keeping military intervention options on the table in the event that the integration does not occur.

According to a report by the Türkiye newspaper, known for its proximity to the government, the possibility that Turkey could conduct a military operation against the SDF in Syria was emphasized.

According to information obtained from security sources, it was stated that Ankara and Damascus are acting in coordination regarding terrorist organizations in Syria.

It was noted that the deadline granted for the integration of the SDF will expire at the end of September, and that if concrete steps are not taken, extending this deadline until the end of the year is also on the agenda.

It was claimed that if the process is not completed, there is a possibility that military operations, which Turkey could also support, may come to the agenda.
