Deadly accident in Tokat: 5 people killed
5 people in a minibus that rear-ended a truck in Tokat have lost their lives.
A minibus with license plate 58 AAE 502, traveling toward Tokat on the Tokat-Sivas highway near the Yatmış village location, rear-ended a truck loaded with sugar beets with license plate 58 YC 344, which was traveling in the same direction.
Upon notification of the accident, numerous health, fire, gendarmerie, and police teams were dispatched to the region.
It was determined that the 5 people, who were rescued from where they were trapped in the minibus by Tokat Municipality fire crews, had lost their lives during checks.
While the truck driver has been taken into custody, efforts to identify those who died are ongoing.
