According to information provided by state officials, 12 people lost their lives in Missouri, 6 in Mississippi, 8 in Kansas, 3 each in Arkansas and Texas, and 1 in Oklahoma.
Meteorologists announced that the storm will continue to have an effect throughout the weekend and that the danger of tornadoes is emerging in Mississippi and Alabama.
