Mesut Şimay, 27, lost his life in the explosion that occurred on September 15 at the OBA Makarna factory located in the organized industrial zone in the Hendek district. 30 people were injured.
While the injured were taken to hospitals for treatment, 23-year-old Eray Kızıldağ, who was being treated at the Kocaeli City Hospital Burn Unit, passed away on October 4.
Güven Albayrak (24), who was being treated at the Istanbul Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital burn unit, passed away on October 9, and Merve Menteş passed away on October 10.
Naim Karagüzel, a married father of 2 who was being treated at Kocaeli City Hospital, also lost his battle for life this morning. With the death of Karagüzel, the number of people who lost their lives in the explosion has risen to 5.
