Debt dispute ends in bloodshed in Kocaeli: Opened fire with a pump-action shotgun
In the İzmit district of Kocaeli, one person was shot and wounded with a pump-action shotgun during an argument over a debt dispute. New footage of the incident shows the suspect, S.A., firing at Murat Ç. from a balcony. The wounded individual was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred on Adnan Menderes Boulevard in the Mehmet Ali Paşa neighborhood. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between two people due to a debt dispute. As the argument escalated, S.A. fired at Murat Ç. (53) with a pump-action shotgun from the balcony of his home. Murat Ç., who was wounded in his left shoulder and arm, was taken to Kocaeli State Hospital by his friend. It was learned that the wounded man, who was transferred to Kocaeli City Hospital after initial intervention, is not in life-threatening condition.
On the other hand, new footage regarding the incident has emerged. In the images captured by a citizen's camera, the moments when S.A. fired at Murat Ç. with a pump-action shotgun from his balcony were recorded. Following the incident, it was seen that Murat Ç. and the person with him left the scene in a car.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
