Decision mystery regarding Ekrem İmamoğlu! Chief Public Prosecutor's Office says 'not yet announced'!

It was claimed that a decision had been reached in the 'corruption' and 'terrorism' investigations for which IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was detained in a dawn operation.

According to this, information was circulated that İmamoğlu was arrested in the corruption investigation and released under judicial control in the terrorism investigation.

While CHP's Murat Emir stated that no decision had been reached yet in the terrorism investigation, information was reported that the court panel had taken a break to reach a decision in the terrorism investigation.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, in a message sent to a communication group including some journalists, warned against "irresponsible reporting" regarding an ongoing investigation.

In its message, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated, "Friends, the interrogation is still ongoing, let us not report irresponsibly. No decision has been announced yet in either the terrorism or corruption interrogation."

Despite this statement, some media outlets, primarily Anadolu Agency (AA), TRT, and the pro-government A Haber, reported the arrest news while the interrogation process was still ongoing.

This situation raised allegations that the decision in question was leaked to certain media outlets before being shared with lawyers and the public.

Alican Uludağ announced the distorted situation by saying, "Interesting things are happening. Interesting things are happening. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office sent a message to the communication group where journalists are present, saying, 'Friends, the interrogation is still ongoing, let us not report irresponsibly. No decision has been announced yet in either the terrorism or corruption interrogation.'"

Media outlets, primarily A.A., TRT, and A Haber, reported the arrest news. While the interrogation was ongoing, the pre-prepared decision was clearly leaked to the press before the lawyers."

This development, which sparked a debate regarding media ethics and legal processes, raised questions about how information regarding investigations is shared.
