Decision reached regarding woman who insulted police and night watchmen on social media! 19 criminal records found

As part of the efforts carried out by the Atakum District Police Department, a 24-year-old woman identified as I.K., who was wanted with a finalized 5-month prison sentence for "threatening" and had 19 criminal records, was apprehended on Sunday, January 25, at approximately 11:30 AM.

It was determined that before being caught, the young woman had made posts containing profanity and insults directed at police and night watchmen on her social media account named X, saying, "You are looking for me, but you cannot find me." The suspect, who also uttered insulting words toward the personnel on duty during her apprehension, is now under investigation for "insulting a public official" and under Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code, following instructions from the Public Prosecutor's Office.

I.K., who was taken into custody, was referred to the Samsun Courthouse today. I.K. stated, "When I learned that the police were looking for me due to my 5-month prison sentence, I shared the video under the influence of alcohol. I regret it."

Giving her statement to the duty magistrate regarding the charges of swearing at and insulting police officers, I.K. was released under judicial control conditions by the court, but was arrested and sent to prison due to her finalized 5-month prison sentence.
