DEM Party calls for the release of Imralı minutes! What was discussed with the terrorist leader?

As part of the second resolution process, dubbed a "Terror-Free Turkey," a commission established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) decided to travel to Imralı Island to meet with Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the terrorist organization PKK. The Imralı delegation, consisting of AKP's Hüseyin Yayman, MHP's Feti Yıldız, and DEM Party's Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, held a meeting with the terrorist leader Öcalan on Monday.

While the public is curious about the details of the meeting the delegation held with the terrorist leader, DEM Party Ağrı MP Sırrı Sakık made a noteworthy statement regarding the Imralı minutes.

Sharing the claim that the minutes of the meeting on Imralı would not be disclosed to the public, Sakık called for the minutes to be released.

"CONCEALING THE MINUTES INCREASES SUSPICION"

In a post on his X account, Sakık stated the following:

"The commission met with Mr. Öcalan on Imralı, but it is being said that the minutes will not be released. However, from the very first day, we, the Parliament, Mr. Öcalan, and the peoples of Turkey have all demanded that this process proceed transparently. Peace does not grow behind closed doors; it grows openly, honestly, and in the eyes of the public. Concealing the minutes increases suspicion, while disclosing them strengthens trust. For the benefit of the public and the future of peace, the meeting minutes must be released."
