It was noted that Demirtaş emphasized that the process must be carried out through a social consensus.
DELEGATION CONTACTED FOUR INDIVIDUALS
It was reported that the DEM Party Imrali Delegation, consisting of Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar, visited not only Edirne Prison but also Kandıra Prison.
The delegation announced that they also met with former HDP Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ, former Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Selçuk Mızraklı, and former HDP deputy Semra Güzel at Kandıra Prison.
"FULL SUPPORT FOR PEACE AND DEMOCRACY"
In a written statement issued after the meetings, it was reported that the delegation shared information and exchanged ideas on the "peace process." The statement included the following remarks:
"In our meetings, we primarily shared information and exchanged ideas regarding the peace process. Dear Selahattin Demirtaş, after emphasizing his full support for the process, stated that he is ready to provide any contribution for the success of the process and the establishment of peace and democracy. Dear Figen Yüksekdağ also stated that she maintains her hope for the construction of peace and a democratic society, and that her support and contribution to this path will continue strongly. The fact that our friends, whose innocence is legally established, are still being held in prison cannot be explained by any justification and is in no way acceptable. Our urgent demand and expectation is that this clear injustice be eliminated as soon as possible and that our friends join the march for peace and democracy under free conditions. In these extremely productive meetings, our friends conveyed their most sincere greetings and love to everyone whose heart beats for freedom, peace, and democracy."
