In the footage recorded by a local citizen, the heavy machinery below continues the demolition while two workers are still present on the top floor of the 6-story building.

The person recording the moment expresses their astonishment, saying, “You won’t see a demolition like this anywhere else. The guy is tearing it down from the bottom, there are men on top, look. This is Rize; the site of the Kurtuluş Primary School. The excavator is tearing it down, the men are on top. You can imagine the rest.”
