Denial of reports that Türker İnanoğlu has passed away

Claims emerged that Turkish film director and producer Türker İnanoğlu, known as a pillar of Yeşilçam, had passed away. His son-in-law, journalist Cüneyt Özdemir, denied the reports of his death.

Denial of reports that Türker İnanoğlu has passed away

Reports were shared stating that the famous producer and director Türker İnanoğlu had been hospitalized and had passed away at the age of 88 despite all interventions.

While the news of the death of İnanoğlu, who is a film company owner, spread quickly, a denial came from his son-in-law, journalist Cüneyt Özdemir. Özdemir stated that İnanoğlu is in the hospital and his treatment is ongoing.

WHO IS TÜRKER İNANOĞLU?

He entered the field of cinema as an assistant director in 1957 while he was a student at the School of Applied Fine Arts. He worked with famous directors such as Lütfi Ömer Akad and Nişan Hançer.

He began his directing career with the film "Köyde Bir Kız Sevdim" (I Loved a Girl in the Village) in 1960. In 1960, he founded his own film company called Erler Film. He established the Ulusal Video company in 1979 and a television studio in 1985. He has produced numerous television productions.

He is also the owner of the Atlas Cinema in Beyoğlu, the Kent Cinema in Şişli, and the Boğaziçi Cinemas in Kavacık. In 2005, he opened the TİM (Türker İnanoğlu Maslak Show Center) in Maslak, Istanbul.

Türker İnanoğlu had a son, İlker İnanoğlu, from his marriage to actress Filiz Akın. After separating from Filiz Akın, he married Gülşen Bubikoğlu in 1974, and they had a daughter named Zeynep from this marriage.
