Dervişoğlu responds sharply to Bakırhan's 'village guard' remarks: 'Will you let these rag-tag agitators crush the children of this nation?'

As the terrorist organization PKK announces its decision to dissolve and lay down arms during the new resolution process, a scandalous statement regarding village guards has come from DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan.

Claiming that there is no longer a need for village guards serving in the East and Southeast, Bakırhan said, "We will not leave the village guards unemployed, hopefully. Take the weapon from their hand, give them a stick, and let them tend to animals in the village. That is a more honorable duty." he stated.

Bakırhan's scandalous statement was met with a sharp reaction from İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu. He responded harshly.

"WILL YOU LET THESE RAG-TAG AGITATORS CRUSH THE CHILDREN OF THIS NATION?"

In a post on his X account, Dervişoğlu stated the following:

"VILLAGE GUARDS are our children who have fought at the cost of their lives for the Republic of Türkiye.

Are you going to abandon our tens of thousands of Zaza, Turkmen, and Kurdish brothers and sisters, who have stood by their state rather than on the side of terror, to the insults of this base language?

Will you let these rag-tag agitators crush the children of this nation who stand for unity and the Red Flag?

Shame on you!"
