Dervişoğlu responds to Erdoğan's remarks: 'I will never, ever allow it!'

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu attended his party's Extended Provincial Council Meeting in Mersin.

Delivering a speech there, Dervişoğlu stated that attempts are being made to make people forget Turkey's real problems. Dervişoğlu said that it is being suggested, "Let Müsavat Dervişoğlu not talk about these problems, let us set an agenda, and let it be discussed on that agenda."

'I WILL NOT ALLOW IT'

Müsavat Dervişoğlu also evaluated the remarks made by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in his speech in Van, where he said, "Our goal is to win the 2028 Presidential and Parliamentary elections as the People's Alliance with a vote well over 50 percent," as follows:

"If he said the election date is 2028, know that he will not be able to be a candidate. He will attempt to make a constitutional amendment to be a candidate. Know that he will not be able to do it. I have stated before that as the İYİ Party, we will not stand by any constitutional amendment that will consolidate the one-man regime or strengthen one-man rule. I am repeating this now. I am adding one more thing to it: I will never, ever allow them to try to force us to swallow the murderer of 50 thousand of our children, the hyena in Imralı, as a peace dove by calling it a new opening process, a new paradigm, or whatever in Turkey."
