Dervişoğlu's warning to the government regarding Özgür Özel: 'Just as the nation restored Erdoğan's rights...'
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu emphasized that a party chairman cannot be replaced through the judiciary regarding the 'absolute nullity' debates within the CHP, stating that a potential operation against Özgür Özel would damage social peace.
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu made statements regarding the current agenda.
Speaking to Sözcü columnist Saygı Öztürk, Dervişoğlu commented on the 'absolute nullity' debates within the CHP, stating, "You cannot remove a chairman who has been issued a certificate of election by the Supreme Election Council (YSK) through local and regional courts. This arbitrariness is an attempted coup against our democracy. Our nation has always broken the hands reaching for its will when the day comes."
"ARRESTING ÖZEL WOULD DISRUPT SOCIAL PEACE AND OUR TRANQUILITY"
Dervişoğlu's agenda also included allegations of an operation against the elected CHP Chairman Özgür Özel. Stating, "Arresting Özel would disrupt social peace and our tranquility," Dervişoğlu said, "I hope such a step is not taken. This would disrupt social peace. The Turkish nation has shown great patience and has reached the end of its patience. Just as the nation restored the rights of Erdoğan, who was convicted yesterday, it will restore the rights of those who are wronged from now on as well."
"THE BALLOT BOX SHOULD DETERMINE POLITICS"
Addressing criticisms regarding judicial interference in politics, Dervişoğlu expressed his reaction with the following words: "We do not want a democracy of trustees or tutelage. We want a Turkey where politics is determined by the ballot box, not by courts. We want a Republic, not a sultanate! All of these are stones paved on the path to a lifetime presidency for one person."
"THE STATE DOES NOT HAVE A 'DEEP' SIDE, IT HAS A LAW"
Evaluating the "state wisdom" discourse discussed in public opinion, Dervişoğlu used the following expressions:
"It is shameful to try to feed lawlessness with 'deep state' implications. The state does not have a 'deep' side, it has a law. The wisdom of the state is not sought in the dark, but in the laws. Do not pay attention to those who place the word 'state' behind injustice."
