Devlet Bahçeli doubles down on Öcalan call, targets Özgür Özel: 'We stand behind everything'

REITERATED HIS CALL FOR ÖCALAN: WE STAND BEHIND EVERYTHING WE HAVE SAID

Bahçeli reiterated his call for Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the terrorist organization PKK.

Stating, "We cannot continue to live with the problem of terrorism and separatism. The end is near for the separatist terrorist organization PKK," Bahçeli said, "We stand behind everything we have done and said. We have no shortcomings to be ashamed of, embarrassed by, or feel regret over. We are not calculating the next election, but rather the goals and future of the next generations and a future superpower Turkey. We cannot tolerate the pain and tears of the past overshadowing the future."

HE TARGETED ÖZGÜR ÖZEL

Addressing the trustees appointed to CHP and DEM Party municipalities, Bahçeli targeted Özgür Özel due to Tuncer Bakırhan's remarks regarding Sheikh Said and Seyit Rıza. 

“The glorification of Sheikh Said and Seyit Rıza has once again revealed where everyone stands” said Bahçeli, “Sheikh Said and Seyit Rıza were the traitors of their era, and they were punished as state enemies deserved. The CHP Chairman, who boarded the DEM bus, has handed over his political future to the PKK” he said.

CONCERT CONTROVERSIES

Bahçeli's agenda also included the concerts organized by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. Targeting ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş, Bahçeli said, "It is a disgrace for CHP-run municipalities to squander treasury resources on concert festivals while offering citizens only a bowl of soup when it is their turn. So what if it was 45 million paid to an artist instead of 65 million? If you weren't ashamed before our people, did you not even fear God?" he stated.

The highlights from Bahçeli's remarks are as follows:

"My dear fellow party members, esteemed guests, and valued members of the press, I greet you all with respect at the beginning of our meeting this week. I convey my heartfelt greetings to our citizens following our meeting.

"TO BE TURKISH ALSO MEANS TO BE TURKISH-SPEAKING"

Our way of reading the world in Turkish and our Turkish perspective have been formed and matured on the intellectual foundation of the late Ziya Gökalp. As Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, whom we commemorated with respect and mercy last Sunday, said, to be Turkish also means to be Turkish-speaking. 

We must cautiously monitor the threats and spreading disputes rapidly shifting to every corner of the globe, especially in our region. We cannot turn the progress of these dizzying, chaotic developments in our favor. We must leave our mark on history, and for this, we must position ourselves like a drawn bow. We must courageously purge the sick mob of hatred, violence, and betrayal from our path and our lives. The summit of the Organization of Turkic States held in Kyrgyzstan on November 6, 2024, fueled our excitement.

Despite its relatively short history, the Organization of Turkic States has become an institutional umbrella. The symbolic presentation of currency by our President Erdoğan to the heads of state at the summit is a situation worthy of appreciation. The OTS will continue to be a brand of peace, security, and stability on a global scale to the very end." 

SUPPORT FOR THE 'COMMON TURKIC ALPHABET'

*An agreement has been reached on a common alphabet. A consensus has been formed on an alphabet consisting of 34 letters, and this development is a historic step. It is gratifying that Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the TRNC are ready for a common alphabet. Initiatives had also begun in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. It will reach its true meaning. I express my gratitude to President Erdoğan for leading the way in bringing the Turkic World together under one roof.

BAHÇELİ TO ÖZEL: I HOPE HE DOES NOT DISREGARD THE DANGER OF SINKING WHILE TRYING TO TURN BACK

I hope that the CHP Chairman, who admitted to being troubled by the turmoil his party has been dragged into in İzmir and announced in a panic that they would return to the country's agenda, will not be thrown into an abyss on his way back, and that he will not disregard the danger of sinking while trying to turn back. Let them keep turning, but they should be careful; too much turning can lead to a loss of balance and consciousness, and can also cause one to fall to the ground. One who falls cannot choose the branch to hold onto. However, let those who turn, turn; we will not turn from our path.

Without paying heed to those who turn, those who are converted, those who are 'DEM-ed', those who are toppled, those who sell out, those who hide, those who flee, the slippery, and the cowards, our path is the Turkic era. Our journey is the Turkic world and the Century of Turkey.

Wherever in the world a Turk or a Muslim suffers, is subjected to hardship and oppression, it is, by God, our destiny that the pillow we lay our heads on at night turns to stone, our quilt turns to ice and covers us, and our conscience trembles like an earthquake.

As the great Atatürk says, "I am, first and foremost, a Turkish nationalist. I was born this way and I will die this way. I have faith that Turkish unity will one day become a reality. Even if I do not see it, I will close my eyes to the world within the dreams of it."

We, too, were born as Turkish nationalists, we have lived as such, and we will die as such.

We will surely see Turkish unity; we will reach our goal and our desire!

"ZIONIST BARBARITY IS TESTING OUR PATIENCE"

Israel is continuing its bloody attacks in stages. Zionist barbarity is testing our patience. The standoff between Israel and Iran also reveals preparations for a war with widespread costs. This is an acute security issue for the future of the world. This situation concerns all countries, especially Turkey. Brutality and civilization, vandalism and mercy, the oppressor and the oppressed cannot stand in the same category. 

Humanity has been imprisoned in a spiral of terror. Millions of oppressed people are struggling for their lives. Israel is eager to expand its bloody attacks across the entire region in stages. Stopping Israel, ensuring a ceasefire regime, and a two-state solution are necessities for calm. Achieving peace is in the interest of not only the warring parties but all countries, especially Turkey.

US ELECTIONS

The presidential election held in the US and what Donald Trump, who was elected for the second time in this election, will do and what kind of policy he will follow have naturally been the center of discussions for days.

I must state that it is an absurdity that cannot be explained by reason or logic that some circles in Turkey are caught between the elephant and the donkey, are mourning because of Trump's election, and have reached the point of almost grieving over Harris's loss.

It is a shameful lack of roots to encounter the hooliganized supporters of Democrats and Republicans in the US within our own country as well.

Biden's plans to change and topple our President through elections in solidarity with his colonized collaborators among us have now been shattered. Look at the work of God; the one who changed and was toppled is none other than Biden, whom even his own mental faculties have abandoned.

Only God does not fall; it is Biden and Harris who have fallen and cannot get back up. We view the election in the US from a Turkey-centric perspective. We are making analyses and evaluations for US-Turkey relations rather than focusing on who won or lost.

It is in the common interest of both countries for Trump to display a different profile than his first term and to act in accordance with the nature of the law of friendship and alliance.

A brand new and clean page should be opened in the collection of close and intense dialogues between Turkey and the US that corresponds to the post-World War II era.

It is clear that economic and political obstacles that fuel hostility are incompatible with democratic morality, common sense, and sovereign rights.

We are striving to maintain and continue our cautious optimism regarding the fact that there is no problem between Turkey and the US that cannot be solved.

"WE STAND BEHIND EVERYTHING WE HAVE DONE AND SAID"

The Turkish century will be a century of peace. In the coming period, our country ridding itself of the burden of terrorism is not just a possibility, but an inevitable outcome. It is impossible for us to continue living with the problem of terrorism and separatism.

The end is near for the separatist terrorist organization PKK. There is no safe space left for any terrorist.

To both appear in the political arena and lean on armed terrorists is an illegitimate and unlawful, hateful contradiction that must be crushed. If there are weapons, there is no politics.

The MHP, without breaking from its consistency and moral line in politics, and without showing any signs of weakness that would contradict today what it said yesterday, stands in favor of defending national unity and brotherhood.

My advice to those who speak ill of us is that they should realize that trying to achieve results through opportunistic cunning and exploitative cannibalism, or forcing us into a choice between malaria and death, is a futile struggle.

If we were to give a single day's worth of the love for our homeland and our cause in our hearts as alms to the new-generation political turncoats who dare to question our idealism and weigh our patriotism, it would be enough to last them their entire lives.

We stand behind everything we have done and said. We have nothing to be ashamed of, embarrassed by, or feel guilty about. We are not calculating the next election, but rather the goals and future of the coming generations and a future superpower Turkey. We cannot tolerate the pain and tears shed in the past obscuring the future.

We do not want our grandchildren to face the same catastrophe. We are sincerely thinking of taking firm steps toward building the future, rather than just saving the day.

REACTION TO POLLS

They say our votes are increasing, they say our votes are decreasing. Friends, my dear nation, while the homeland is under threat and our national security walls are being shaken by treacherous attacks, burying our heads in the sand out of concern for votes and elections is a state of degradation and humiliation that is not written in our book.

Ending terrorism is a national ideal. This ideal is our political honor and our symbol.

There is no one other than the People's Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı) to stand tall and step into the arena of honor to solve chronic problems, and it is a fantasy to think otherwise. We are ready, determined, and fully committed to laying not just our hands, but our very bodies under the mountain ranges.

The Turkish nation will surely give the most effective response to the opportunists who are eager for political spoils, chasing our moments of complacency and our soft underbelly to conduct politics, and to the figures of the wretched politics that have fallen into ruin. While we shout 'How happy is the one who says I am a Turk,' we will not allow the charlatans who have fallen from our collars and our future through field congresses—those who ride the boat of the PKK's DEM and its predecessors, who sing the International anthem and design a future with hammer and sickle—to sabotage our struggle or dull our determination.

TUNCER BAKIRHAN'S STATEMENT AND TRUSTEES

The CHP Chairman, who boarded the DEM bus and became a mouthpiece for discord and mischief, has handed over his political future to the brutal ambitions of the PKK and its cave holes.

The claim by the DEM co-chair that he is acting as a spokesperson for the alleged disgrace in the name of our Kurdish brothers, while glorifying Sheikh Said and Seyit Rıza, has once again revealed where everyone stands and what kind of partnership they have with terrorism.

Reopening closed issues and picking at scabbed-over wounds is the insidiousness and ill intent of those who cannot stomach Turkey's social peace.

Sheikh Said and Seyit Rıza were traitors of their time. They were separatist terrorists. They were punished as deserved by the enemies of the Republic and the state.

DEM's refusal to distance itself from weapons and terrorism must, of course, be addressed in accordance with the Turkish Penal Code. The matter has no causal link whatsoever with our Kurdish brothers.

It is a disgrace for CHP-run municipalities to squander treasury resources on concert festivals while deeming only a bowl of soup worthy when it comes to the citizens. So what if it was 45 million paid to an artist instead of 65 million? If you were not ashamed before our people, did you not even fear God? For mayors to abandon their duties and start vying for the presidential candidacy today is ingratitude toward Istanbul and Ankara. Our nation should not be left at the mercy of these incompetent and ambitious individuals.

In the Century of Turkey, the shackles will be untied and cast aside. With the opportunities provided by the Presidential Government System, the traces of social division will be erased through integration in governance. It is our common duty to maximize national goals and minimize internal and external threats. There is no safe space left for any terrorist. Kurds and Alevis are both our own flesh and blood. 

To this day, no one in Turkey has been treated as a second-class citizen; no one has been considered the 'black' of this country. Turkey was not founded on the loose coordination of ethnic and sectarian communities. Neither our Kurdish brothers nor our Alevi brothers have been relegated to worthlessness to be ignored. Just as our purpose and our pain are one, our future is one, our friends are one, and our enemies are the same. The defensive trenches of peace must be built in people's minds. We must put our heads together, embrace one another, and unite against the front of discord.
