Devlet Bahçeli: The reckoning will not be left to the afterlife

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli has issued a message of condolence for the 9 soldiers who were martyred in an attack carried out by PKK terrorists in northern Iraq.

Sharing his message on his X (Twitter) account, Bahçeli stated the following:

"THE RECKONING WILL NOT BE LEFT TO THE AFTERLIFE"

"An attack/infiltration attempt by terrorists occurred yesterday evening at a base in the operational area of Operation Claw-Lock, which is being conducted to both prevent and dismantle the PKK/KCK terrorist organization at its source. In the ensuing clash, 9 of our heroic brothers were martyred, and 16 of our heroic brothers were wounded. Certainly, the pure blood of our martyrs will not remain unavenged, and the reckoning will not be left to the afterlife.

Focus groups masked as political or civil society organizations that share the same intentions, actions, and goals as the separatist terrorist organization PKK/YPG/PYD, as well as regional states and imperialist countries that have designs on our country, and their agents operating in our neighboring regions, are openly drawing weapons against Turkey and spreading hostility toward our national existence and national security.

Concentrating the state's crushing, punitive, and capable authority on the areas where the threat originates instead of relying on words, continuing the struggle uncompromisingly with a holistic policy, and acting with zero tolerance against terrorism and separatism is an absolute matter of survival. Every place where the criminals who have set our hearts on fire are sheltered, hidden, concealed, armed, trained, and deployed is an open and legitimate target.

In this tough and challenging process, the Turkish nation is one voice and one breath. The Nationalist Movement Party stands fully behind and supports the Presidential Cabinet and the heroic Turkish Armed Forces. The issue is not just fighting terrorists, but primarily resisting the dark circles that use terrorism to serve their regional interests, and the countries that appear as allies but act as adversaries, and fighting them tooth and nail.

There will be no weariness, fatigue, or stepping back until the last terrorist is captured or neutralized. Those who are active in trying to establish a terrorist state in northern Iraq and Syria will not be permitted to do so. Everything has been risked for this cause. All terrorist camps must be brought under fire from the air and land. No matter which country stands against us, the same determined treatment must be shown to them as well.

I pray to Almighty Allah for mercy upon our heroic martyrs and healing for our veterans currently under treatment. I say, may the Turkish nation, our grieving families, and all of us be comforted. This heavenly homeland and this noble nation are eternally grateful to our martyrs and veterans."
